This page shows the status of the pitches (fit/unfit for use) and is updated at 16:00 every day. The new pitches currently being laid will be added to the list shortly. If there is heavy rainfall after 16:00, it is possible that the pitch will then be declared unfit for use even when the website says otherwise. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Field inspections during the winter monthsDuring the winter months a playing field can be declared unfit both for matches and training sessions due to bad weather conditions. In order to declare a field unfit for play the following criteria apply:
1. In case of snow, glaze, white frost (frosted moisture white in the morning) and frost (from -10 degrees Celsius). In all cases the field will be declared unfit for play, because otherwise the fibers of the turf will suffer damage!
2. In case of frost it has to be determined whether the frost is light or severe and how long it has been existing. In case of severe frost of more than 10 degrees the under layer of the field becomes very hard and springing balls make the play dangerous. In these cases the field will be declared unfit for play.
3. In case of frost and rain/ glaze the field is dangerous and the field conditions are bad. In these cases the field will always be declared unfit for play.
4. In case of rainfall the field will only be declared unfit for play when the field is covered with puddles of water.
5. Should the field be declared unfit for play due to snow and glaze, it is prohibited to set foot on the field!
6. The hardness of the under layer in case of thaw, glaze, moisture combined with frost etc, can only be assessed properly by on-site inspection. In case of thaw after a longer period of frost the field will be declared unfit for play. Although the top layer might become soft, the under layer is still hard. Training sessions can only take place once the under layer is thawed out and dry.
