General description
The aim of this sub-program is to facilitate fundamental research on the changing manifestations of religion and religiosity in modernity, and to reflect on the concepts of religiosity and religion and their relation with society and culture from this research. Its starting point is the starting point of this research program as a whole. In the present time and context religion and the manifestations of the religious are subject to enormous changes. This makes new insights in the place and functioning of religion in connection to society and culture possible.
