Tilburg University contributes to financial literacy among young people
22nd March 2023On March 20, the first day of Global Money Week, Tilburg University and Nibud (National Institute for Family Finance Information) provided a guest lecture and a knowledge session on the topic of ‘Young people & money’ at CURIO, a school for secondary vocational education (MBO). The reason is the EU-funded ANGLE project ‘A Network Game for Lifecycle Education’. This project is aimed to enhance the financial literacy among young people, enabling them to make sound financial decisions.

Tilburg University maintains its top positions in QS World University rankings by subject 2023
22nd March 2023As in recent years, Tilburg University has achieved several top positions in the 2023 QS World University Rankings by Subject. Since the 2020 edition of the ranking, Tilburg University has ranked in the worldwide top 100 in the broad faculty area of Social Sciences & Management.

Two Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships awarded to Tilburg University researchers
07th March 2023The successful applicants are Etienne Lorang supervised by Professor Reyer Gerlagh), who will work at the Economics Department of the Tilburg School of Economics and Management (TiSEM), and Leena Bhattacharya (supervised by prof. dr. Arthur van Soest) , who will conduct her research at the TiSEM Econometrics and Operations Research Department. The fellowships will enable them to carry out their research projects for two years.

EMAC Distinguished Marketing Scholar Award 2023 for Els Gijsbrechts
06th March 2023Els Gijsbrechts has won the EMAC Distinguished Marketing Scholar Award 2023. One of the highest honors that a marketing scholar can receive. The European Marketing Academy (EMAC) praises her for her innovative and leading research, substantial contributions to EMAC, and her exceptional service to the marketing community at large.

Otto Raspe appointed as Professor of Practice of Broad Prosperity and the Regional Economy
01st March 2023On March 1, 2023, Tilburg University appointed Dr. Otto Raspe as Professor of Practice at the Academic Collaborative Center of Broad Prosperity. Raspe has been appointed for 0.1 FTE, his teaching and research remit being Broad Prosperity and the Regional Economy.

Teaching Awards Spring 2023 Courses
09th February 2023Samuël Stäbler, Aukje Wijnen, Carlie Rosmalen, and Gijs van Bussel have won the Bob van den Brand teaching innovation Award for their 3rd year IBA course Business Strategy and Data.
Elke Schrover, responsible for the International Business Research course in the 2nd year IBA, won the Best Teacher Large Groups Award. -

09th November 2022The paper “Attention Trajectories Capture Utility Accumulation and Predict Brand Choice” co-authored by Ana Martinovici (RSM Erasmus University), Rik Pieters, and Tülin Erdem (NYU) has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Marketing Research.
The paper is based on the Ph.D. dissertation by Ana Martinovici, completed at Tilburg University under the supervision of Rik Pieters.
