Covenant multi-year cooperation in education and research on family firms
12th September 2022On September 2, Brabantse Familiebedrijven Genootschap (BFBG) and Tilburg Institute for Family Business (TiFB, Tilburg University) signed a covenant establishing a long-term cooperation. The aim of the collaboration is to safeguard and strengthen the continuity of family firms in and outside Noord-Brabant.

Researcher and lecturer Kenny Meesters receives Open Science Award for research in Ukraine
02nd September 2022Kenny Meesters, researcher and lecturer at Tilburg University, is one of the five winners, together with his colleague Abby Onencan (Erasmus University Rotterdam). They received the award for their open-science approach, in co-creation with the local community, to reduce risks after a disaster has taken place.

Renewed NVAO and AACSB Accreditation for all programs of the Tilburg School of Economics and Management
04th July 2022The Dutch accreditation organization NVAO has reaccredited all programs of the Tilburg School of Economics and Management (TiSEM). NVAO concluded that the programs meet all requirements which are needed. These requirements are related to learning objectives, curricula of the programs, student assessments and the achievement of the learning outcomes. In addition, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, also known as AACSB International, has renewed TiSEM’s business accreditation for five years

Warning label leads to higher prices for unhealthy products and healthier choices
24th June 2022In the fight against obesity, more and more countries are opting for mandatory, explicit warning labels on unhealthy products. Consumers who have less to spend react particularly strongly to this, which leads to healthier choice. The measure also leads to higher pricing of unhealthy products by manufacturers, which reinforces the healthy buying effect.
