Professor Jan Fransoo receives Salzberg Medallion for supply chain management
13th June 2022It was announced last week that Professor Jan Fransoo will be the first non-American to receive the Salzberg Medallion from Syracuse University on October 13. Jan Fransoo is Professor of Operations and Logistics Management at the Tilburg School of Economics and Management, Tilburg University.

Mary Barth: Accounting information is foundation for better decisions on climate change and crypto assets

Accountancy is crucial to achieving a more prosperous society, for example in the areas of climate change and digital assets. Economic model explains why Dutch mothers often work restricted hours and earn less than men
30th May 2022Together with colleagues Tilburg University micro-economist Alex Theoloudis analyzed a survey and developed a model that explains couples’ choices regarding spending time together. It shows that both women’s working hours and lower relative wages are related to how couples value spending time together as a family.

Joris Knoben appointed Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship
23rd May 2022Prof. Joris Knoben has been appointed Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship effective June 1, 2022. This was announced today by the Executive Board. Knoben will work at the Tilburg School of Economics and Management. His research focuses on the relationship between the environment of (new) companies and their strategy and success.

02nd May 2022As of May 1, 2022, Tilburg University has appointed Prof. Josette Dijkhuizen as an endowed professor of 'Sustainable employability of entrepreneurs in the Netherlands'. Her research focuses on critical events in the personal and working lives of entrepreneurs, potential causes of dropout and possible preventive interventions.
