Profile Communication and Information Sciences

The Department of Communication and Information Sciences (DCI) hosts about 100 staff members who are working in the broad field of communication and information studies. Research in the department is located in the Tilburg center for Cognition and Communication (TiCC).

The department is responsible for a flourishing academic program (Bachelor, Master and Research Master) in Communication and Information Sciences (CIW). Specializations in the program include Business Communication and Digital Media (Bachelor and Master), Human Aspects of Information Technology (Bachelor and Master), Text and Communication (Bachelor), Communication Design (Master), Data Science for Business and Governance (Master), Data Journalism (Master), and Linguistics and Communication (Research Master).
