Tilburg University to award three honorary doctorates during dies natalis
04th February 2022Three American scientists will receive honorary doctorates from Tilburg University on June 16, 2022, during its dies natalis. Mary E. Barth (Professor of Accounting at Stanford University) and Christine Moorman (Professor of Marketing at Duke University) will both receive an honorary doctorate from the Tilburg School of Economics and Management. Prof. James Gross (Professor of Psychology at Stanford University) receives an honorary doctorate from the Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences. The honorary doctorates are conferred upon them because of their exceptional academic achievements.

Alicia Göckel did a six-month internship at the UN in New York - "A dream came true!"
21st January 2022From July to December 2021, Alicia Göckel, a student of Global Management of Social Issues (GSMI), did an internship at the United Nations in New York. A dream she had had since her early teens came true. She considers herself lucky thatTilburg Bachelor’s programs have a 'mobility window', which allowed her to do this internship without study delay. 'I honestly have nothing negative to say, it has been such a great experience for me!'

Extroverted and conscientious employees most 'burdened' by working from home

Narcissists' behavior is driven by the pursuit of social status

When their desired social status is threatened, narcissists may flinch, blame others or resort to threats and intimidation. In our performance-oriented society the strong focus on status gains or losses can fuel and reinforce narcissistic behavior from childhood, says Stathis Grapsas in his PhD research.

1.1 million funding for research into supervision in organizational networks
21st July 2021Professor of Public Governance Patrick Kenis receives over 1.1 million euro of research funding from the Dutch Research Council (NWO) for research into the renewal of supervision for network organizations. He will conduct this research together with co-applicant dr Jörg Raab (TSB, Organizational Studies).

Three prestigious Vidi research grants from NWO for Tilburg University
