Anke Liefbroer deserving finalist in the national Teacher of the Year election 2024
26th March 2024Anke Liefbroer (Tilburg School of Catholic Theology) was honored yesterday as one of the four finalists of the national Teacher of the Year election in Theater De Kom in Nieuwegein. Our congratulations to the winner, Peter Pelzer (Utrecht University), finalists Hanneke Velthuijsen (Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences), Chris Attai (Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen), and of course our own Tilburg University colleague Anke Liefbroer.

Book on crucifixion gives a voice to those who have suffered
11th March 2024During the Roman period probably 2 million people were crucified. And crucifixions still occur today. Theologian Ruben van Wingerden wanted to know everything about crucifixion in all its aspects. His book, "Roman Crucifixion", will be released this week.

Esther van Berkel appointed as Managing Director of the Tilburg School of Catholic Theology
15th December 2023On March 1, 2024, Esther van Berkel will become the new Managing Director of the Tilburg School of Catholic Theology. She succeeds Ada van der Velden-Westervelt, who will start her well-deserved retirement on April 1, 2024.

Keuzegids Universiteiten 2024: Two top-rated programs; four Bachelor’s programs rank #1
30th November 2023Like last year, two of Tilburg University’s Bachelor’s programs have been awarded the Top Program quality label in the Keuzegids Universiteiten 2024. Students have also ranked four Tilburg University Bachelor’s programs as the best in their field. The annual Keuzegids Universiteiten ranks all academic Bachelor’s programs, with the ranking being largely based on student satisfaction measured through the National Student Survey (NSE).

New endowed chair Octavia van Breemen for cross-fertilization psychiatry and theology
23rd November 2023Prof. Ernst Hirsch Ballin and Rector Magnificus Wim van de Donk of Tilburg University signed an agreement establishing the new endowed chair Octavia van Breemen on Nov. 20. This chair aims to promote education and research on the cross-fertilization between psychiatry and theology.

Then come to the theater performance 'Science Communication: Rewarded!' on Friday, May 31st in the Blackbox on our campus.
