IQONIC Demo Day & BBQ
On June 15, IQONIC organized the first Demo Day as well as the annual BBQ at the Faculty Club.
Demo Day
During the Demo Day, entrepreneurs from Mr. Winston, Thirsty Clothing, MapsUntold, Yopla and Dmyzer were given a chance to pitch their companies to investors and get feedback on their business plans. This gave 4 early stage investors the opportunity to meet some promising startups.
The small-scale event was held at the Faculty Club and was not open to guests outside the startups and investors which allowed for an "intimate atmosphere and a trusted environment with like-minded people," said Teunis van der Hofstad who attended the Demo Day to pitch his startup Dmyzer with his colleague Nason Zikayo.
The first follow-up appointments between the startups and investors have been made and we look forward to seeing what will emerge from these collaborations in the future!
Barbecue
The Demo Day was followed by the annual IQONIC Barbecue, which was also held at the Faculty Club. Together with IQONIC partners and (student) entrepreneurs who were involved in the IQONIC community last year, we enjoyed the sunny afternoon and toasted to the fruitful collaborations of the past academic year.
