Sports Center

A wide variety of sports, extensive accommodation, close to the campus, wide opening hours, and a lot of fun

Handball is another fast-moving sport which makes great demands in terms of stamina and quick reactions. A handballer has to be able to defend, attack and be in exactly the right place at the right time. He must also be quick, a good thrower and a good jumper.

The rules are simple, and almost the converse of football: you are not allowed to kick the ball or use the lower part of the leg. A player holding the ball may not 'travel' more than three steps, although he can dribble as in basketball. Any breach of these rules will give the opposing team a free throw (penalty) from a line seven metres from your goal. The winner is the team with the most points.

There are two handball training sessions a week at the Sports Center. Feel free to come along. The coach will be happy to explain the game further.
