Building a future cycling network

Night Talk: The bike is booming! With the arrival of the speed pedelec (up to 45 km per hour) and fast-cycle paths, the Netherlands is entering a new era as a cycling country.

This provides opportunities for commuter traffic, but also requires renewed attention to road safety. Within the European project CHIPS (Cycle Highways Innovation for smarter People Transport and Spatial Planning) the Municipality of Tilburg works together with NHTV University of Applied Sciences at research to fast-cycle paths. This includes research with a virtual reality bike.

With alderman Mario Jacobs, Ronald Soemers (Mobility Manager for the region Hart van Brabant) and Lisette Hoeke (project manager Academy for Urban Development, logistics and mobility, NHTV).
