Shanghai University of Finance and Economics delegation visits Tilburg University
A delegation from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE) visited Tilburg University on November 27. They were welcomed by Wim van de Donk, Rector Magnificus and President of the Executive Board, and Marike Knoef, Dean of the Tilburg School of Economics and Management,. The visit focused on strengthening opportunities for joint research and education.
The delegation consisted of Professor Liu Liya, Professor Yahong Zhou, Professor Xuanjuan Chen, RONG Jun, and Professor Liu Yuanchun, President of SUFE, who acted as Head of Delegation. SUFE has been an important partner of Tilburg University for many years, with the two institutions collaborating in various ways. There are initiatives in the areas of research, student and staff exchange, and a Dual Degree program. The cooperation between the two universities was ratified by renewing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Cooperation in research and education is especially intensive with the Tilburg School of Economics and Management, for example through a Dual Degree intake in the Master’s program in Finance for students from SUFE’s School of Finance. The Dual Degree arrangement was also renewed.
These formal agreements provide a framework for sustainable academic cooperation. The delegation's visit marks an important moment in ongoing efforts to improve global academic connectivity and underscores the commitment of both universities to further international collaboration.
