Wim van de Donk to be presented with Visser-Neerlandia Award on October 13
As King’s Commissioner for the province of North Brabant, Professor Wim van de Donk worked to strengthen collaboration between North Brabant and Flanders. In recognition of this achievement, the ANV (Algemeen Nederlands Verbond) will present him with the annual Visser-Neerlandia Award in Leuven on October 13.
Before Professor Wim van de Donk was appointed Rector Magnificus and President of the Executive Board of Tilburg University in 2020, he was King’s Commissioner for the province of North Brabant for eleven years. During his term of office, he succeeded in strengthening the ties between North Brabant and Flanders.
On the occasion of presenting the award to Professor Van de Donk, former Prime Minister of Flanders and Euro MP Geert Bourgeois will deliver the eulogy.
