Admission requirements

To be admitted to a Bachelor's program at Tilburg University, you will need to meet several different requirements:

Diploma requirements
English language requirements
Mathematics requirements - not applicable for BA Liberal Arts and Sciences

English language requirements
Since the program is taught in English, a good verbal and written command of that language is essential. Therefore all students have to do an English proficiency test. The minimum requirements are:

Academic IELTS test with an average minimum score of 6.0 and a minimum score of 5.5 on each of the parts.
TOEFL test score with a minimum score of 550 for the paper based version, 213 for the computer based version, or 80 for the Internet based version. The TOEFL Institutional code for Tilburg University is 9860.
Cambridge Proficiency.

The certificates have to be recent: not older than two years.

However, an English proficiency test is NOT required if:

you are an English native speaker, i.e. if you are a citizen of, or have obtained your secondary school diploma in one of the following countries: Australia, Canada (with the exception of Quebec), New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States of America.
you have completed your secondary school education (VWO) in the Netherlands.

Mathematics requirements
To be admitted to a Bachelor's program at Tilburg University you need to have a sufficient level of Mathematics. The requirements can be found in the table below.

NOTE: The mathematics requirements only apply for BSc programs (International Business Administration, Economics, or Econometrics and Operations Research). The requirements do NOT apply for BA Liberal Arts and Sciences.
