You graduate from the BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a specialisation that qualifies you
for a range of international careers in that area.
And because your education is broader than most,
you acquire additional knowledge and skills that can be applied to every industry or career -
giving you a competitive edge in the job market. You will be amazed at how many doors your liberal background opens - in international business, government, non-profit or academia. Your ability to take an interdisciplinary
approach to solving problems is valued by employers worldwide.
Our students are equipped to pursue international careers as specialists or in positions that require the application of cross-disciplinary insights. You might become a policy officer for the United Nations; a consultant or policy advisor for the European Parliament or UNESCO; a strategic advisor in a multinational company; a lawyer, diplomat, manager, journalist, or researcher. The choice is yours.
Alumni
Our first alumni of the BA Liberal Arts and Sciences graduated in the Summer of 2011. And if the success of Tilburg University's broader alumni community is anything to go by, they are sure to go on to pursue successful careers in all areas of society.
Most of our Bachelor graduates first pursue a Master's at Tilburg University or another top university before entering the workforce. Tasks & responsibilities:
"As an associate in the corporate clients departement of ING I am part of an industry sector-team which is the first point of contact for all listed corporate clients of ING who want to engage on their banking needs. We monitor the client relationships, try to provide the client with effective solutions to their finance and banking needs and ensure a smooth delivery of our expert products. In my day-to-day task and responsibilities this means that I support ING's senior bankers by providing them with briefings and memo's on the industry, the strategy and financials of clients, the profitability of our client relationships, keep the relevant client information systems up-to-date and so on. Additionally, in cooperation with senior bankers I liaise with all expert product departments within ING to monitor and ensure the efficient and effective delivery upon our promises to clients."

"Generally speaking, a legal counsel delivers an opinion on the implementation,
amendment and termination of international agreements.
A legal counsel also assesses the latest developments related to international law,
and is responsible for delivering recommendations regarding legal matters,
as required for by other units of the Ministry.
These opinions are in relation toproposed acts, statutes and regulations prepared by units of the Ministry,
or the Prime Ministry, or other Ministries.
We also deal with cases that are currently before the European Court of Human Rights."
