Why Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence in Tilburg?

Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence is a unique English taught program about the fields of cognition, communication and technological innovation. Additionally, we emphasize on creativity, soft computing skills and big data. No prior knowledge in programming or hard Maths skills are needed. Our program is offered by the School of Humanities. Therefore, the program is taught out of the Communication Sciences point of view. This offers an unique approach to the course content.

The program Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence provides you knowledge about the newest techniques in the field of data-processing such as data mining and data visualization. During your studies you will become a communication scientist with experience in these techniques. These experiences create an interesting profile for many employers.

Are you a Dutch-speaking student? Then you can choose between two options

Here, you read everything about the English-taught program Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence. However, we can also offer Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence as a specialization within the Dutch bachelor’s program Communication and Information Sciences  (Dutch: Communicatie- en Informatiewetenschappen).

Within this program, it is possible to start with a broader program and specialize in Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence later on. Students start in a common first semester that consist of both Dutch and English taught courses. After the first semester you can choose Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence out of four different specializations.
