Possible jobs Liberal Arts and Sciences

Most students choose to do a Master's program after obtaining their Bachelor's degree. You will have favorable career prospects with Liberal Arts and Sciences. Graduates find jobs at, for example, an international companyuniversity, cultural institution, the ministry, or an NGO.

What can you do with a Liberal Arts and Sciences degree?

  • policy advisor is responsible for creating policy relating to culture or science for example, and making sure it's carried out in the organization. You analyze problems, create a plan to improve and propose that plan to management. You are also responsible for the implementation of new policy, and advising others on the application of policy. 
  • As a business consultant, you advise businesses and organizations on how to improvement their processes. Think, for example, of improving company culture in the business, or finding the right visual representation of an organization's values. You analyse a problem, often from an outsider perspective, and provide possible solutions. Sometimes you help an organization implement these solutions as well.
  • researcher is always looking for answers to questions raised in society, science, businesses, or government. You spot a problem and start looking for solutions to that problem. With your insight and findings, you are always working on improving society. 

Graduates go on to work, for example, at the European CommissionPlan InternationalASML or PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

Subsequent Master's programs Liberal Arts and Sciences 

After getting your Bachelor's degree, you could start looking for a job, but you will significantly improve your chances by doing a Master's program.

Some Master's programs require you to take specific courses during your Bachelor's program in order to be admitted. Make sure to check the application and admission page of the Master's program you are interested in. You can use the minor (30 ECTS) in year 3 to include (part of) the required courses in the curriculum of your Bachelor's.
