Extracurricular activities BA Theology

At Tilburg University, you can hone your skills through a range of extracurricular activities and opportunities outside the classroom.

You can, for example, participate in our exciting and challenging on top programs, or take an internship and gain work experience in your field of interest. You can also broaden your horizon by following workshops or trainings, or by becoming an active member in a study association.

Internships are not a mandatory part of the Theology program, but it can be a useful addition to your studies. Our academic advisor can tell you more about it.

Discourses on Europe / Honors Program

Always wanted to know the insides of the EU? Convinced that you have a solution to the eurocrisis? European Discourses is a challenging Honors Program for talented students who are interested in and concerned with today’s world. The focus of the four-course program is on Europe, which will be studied from the vantage points of several disciplines in the humanities and social sciences by discussing both historical and contemporary issues and developments. The program aims at breaking down traditional distinctions between the West and the East and the North and the South in the light of important European and global transformations that are taking place today. This includes questions pertaining to cultural, economic, political, and social discourses.

Outreaching Honors Program

The Outreaching Program is an extracurricular program of excellence for outstanding Bachelor's students who aspire to a national or international social top position in a private or public non-profit or for-profit organization to applying their knowledge and skills to solve real social issues. It is an on-top program for Bachelor's students of all programs and all Schools and takes place in the second and third academic years. In this way, the program goes beyond the regular curriculum and offers students a real challenge.

Study association

Apart from studying, it is also important to relax! Each field of study has its own study association at Tilburg University, which organizes both study and social related activities. For Tilburg School of Catholic Theology it is Ad Interim. It is a great way to get to know your fellow students better!

Tilburg University also has one international student association, I*ESN, which emphasizes getting to know students from around the world and having fun together.  Membership is open to all internationally-minded students, of all nationalities.
