Tilburg University welcomes about 250 international exchange students each year. These students come to Tilburg within the framework of ERASMUS agreements and bilateral agreements with universities all over the world.

Application procedure
You have been nominated by your home university to study at Tilburg University. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you. In order to start with your registration, we kindly ask you to complete the online application form. Please, find below the steps to proceed.

Log-in details
You will receive an invitation by email to apply for your exchange online. In this email you will find a personal login name and password which you need to log into your personal application account. After you logged in we ask you to complete the online application form, submit it and print it.

How do I complete the application form?
There are 7 steps which need to be completed:

  • Step 1: Create your personal account
  • Step 2: Fill in your personal details
  • Step 3: Fill in your contact information (in case of emergency)
  • Step 4: Provide us with some information about your home institution and duration of stay
  • Step 5: Select courses for your study plan
  • Step 6: Provide us some information about your language skills
  • Step 7: Tell us more about your decision to study at Tilburg University

When you click on the "SAVE & CONTINUE" button at the end of Step 7, you will be shown an overview of your application. Please check if your information is correct, then "PRINT" and "SIGN" the overview by clicking on the "SUBMIT & PRINT" button. Finally, please send this copy with your application package to Tilburg University.

Make sure you provide us with sufficient information
After you have submitted your application, you will receive an e-mail confirming the submission of your application. Read this e-mail carefully and follow the instructions given. Make sure you send us all the required documents - only complete applications will be assessed for admission.

Can I change my application?
It is possible to change your personal information simply by signing into your application account again. It is not possible to change the courses once you have submitted the application. If you wish to make changes you should contact your Study Abroad Advisor via the e-mail address mentioned in the confirmation e-mail.

Until when can I change my application?
You can change your application right up to the moment you send your application package by post to Tilburg University. The application sent by post must be the same as your latest digital application form. Your application will only be assessed if both the digital and hard copy applications are the same.

Deadlines
Tilburg University has deadlines for the receipt of applications. Please remember that complete application packages must be received by the appropriate deadlines. For more information, please go to Deadlines. When the deadline has passed, your opportunity to study at Tilburg University for the coming semester may have passed, so please send your application to us on time!

What happens next?
Once we have received your application package, your study advisor abroad will register you as an exchange student and determine if your proposed study plan can be followed. In case some of the courses you intend to follow at Tilburg University are not approved, the Study Abroad Advisor will contact you and ask you which course you would like to follow instead. After the Study Abroad Advisor and you have agreed on a suitable study plan, an admission letter will be issued and send to your home address.
