Admission & Application


Admission and application for:

Tilburg University bachelors

If you have a Tilburg University Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business or International Business Administration (former Business Studies) including the courses Accounting 1 and Accounting 2, you will have direct access to the Master's program in Accounting. If you have a Tilburg University Bachelor degree in Informatiemanagement you can also be admitted to this program if you have the additional courses Financiering 2 and Accounting 2. It is highly recommended that you take the following courses: Intermediate Management Accounting and either Intermediate Financial Accounting or Comparative Financial Accounting. Also, if you have finished your Premaster’s program in Accounting, you can enter into the Master's program in Accounting. For those of you who did not follow these recommended courses or who feel less comfortable with bookkeeping and financial reporting, we strongly advise you to buy the self-study package F3 (financial accounting) and F7 (financial reporting) of ACCA. If you do not meet these criteria, please make an appointment with your Academic Advisor to discuss your options.

University bachelors in Business

In order to have access to the Master's program in Accounting, you need a solid basis in the following areas:

  • Mathematics and Statistics (18 ECTS)
  • Academic Training (24 ECTS)
  • Economics (12 ECTS)
  • Management or Marketing (12 ECTS)
  • Finance (12 ECTS)
  • Accounting (24 ECTS)

If you meet these requirements, you have a good chance of being accepted to the Master's program in Accounting. If you wish to apply for this program, please note that there are different procedures for Dutch students and international students.

* Dutch students with a Bachelor's degree from a university outside the Netherlands, please follow the procedure for international students

Other university bachelors

If you have a university Bachelor's degree, but do not meet the requirements mentioned above, Tilburg University offers you the opportunity to enter into the Master's program in Accounting via a special Premaster’s program.

Hbo bachelors

Students with a Professional Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (HEAO-BE or AC) need to do a Premaster’s program prior to entering the Master's program.
