Premaster’s program hbo bachelors

The Premaster’s program in Accounting is the link between the hbo-BE or hbo-AC, and the Master’s program in Accounting. During the Premaster’s and the Master’s program you will strengthen and deepen the practical-oriented knowledge acquired during your Bachelor’s programme through the more theoretical- and conceptual-oriented approach of academic education.

Admission requirements:
You should have completed an hbo program in one of the following:

• Bedrijfseconomie
• Accountancy

The Master’s program is taught in English. Therefore it is important that you have sufficient knowledge of the English language to be admitted to the pre-master. You need to demonstrate proficiency in English by submitting the results of either a:

• TOEFL score with a minimum of 575 (paper-based) or 233 (computer-based) or 90-91 (internet-based) or
• Academic IELTS score with a minimum of 6.5 score overall and a minimum score of 6.0 on individual parts of the test or
• Passed Cambridge Proficiency test or
• Vwo-diploma with a pass for English or
• Hbo-diploma of which at least the last three years where entirely in English

Tracks

In this Master’s program there are two eligible tracks:

• Accountancy
• Accounting

Program

Most of the courses that make up the Premaster’s program are taught in Dutch. The Master’s program in Accounting is taught completely in English. Some courses are compulsory for admission to the Accountancy track in the Master's program.

Premaster university graduates

Tilburg University offers a program designed especially for students with a university Bachelors degree who do not meet the requirements for the Master's program. This Premaster year will provide the necessary background to prepare you for entering into the Master's program in Strategic Management. The course program will be tailor-made to the students needs. It consists of up to 60 credits (ECT), depending on the student’s background. If the background of the student makes a Premaster’s program necessary that consists of more than 60 ECT, we don’t offer a Premaster’s program. The student will than be advised to follow a Bachelor’s program in Economics.
