Why did you choose Tilburg University?

Tilburg University is renowned for its Economics programs. Another advantage was that it was very close to Eindhoven, so I did not have to move to Tilburg straight away.

What was the reason to choose your specific Master’s program?

During my Bachelor in Economics, I noticed that I liked the assignments which used data. However, I missed the proper statistical background to deepen my knowledge about data analysis. Therefore I decided to do both the Master’s program in Economics, which focuses on the interpretation of the data, and the Master’s program in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics, to learn more about data analysis.

What is special about the program?

The combination of the theoretical background about the methods and the application of those methods in assignments is what is special about the program. It provides students with the possibility to actually learn skills they can use and understand in practice. As a result, it is quite easy to find a position as a graduate intern. During this internship, you can apply all the skills in practice and write your thesis about it.

What do you think about Tilburg University campus and facilities?

I think that it is nice that everything is all in one place. It is very quiet after dinner time, since most students meet somewhere else. However, there are enough places to study during the day and to take a break as well.
