Scholarships

At Tilburg School of Economics and Management we are committed to financially support talented and motivated students who wish to follow our Research Master and PhD programs. Below you will find a short description and a link to various types of scholarships which can help you finance your study at Tilburg School of Economics and Management.

Please note that the number of scholarships is limited and mainly targeted at students with excellent study results. We recommend that you carefully read the requirements and deadlines.

Koopmans Scholarship

A full Koopmans scholarship of € 16,800 net per year is available for several excellent students. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit and always include a partial tuition waiver for non-EEA students. Students joining the program in the first or second year of the Research Master are eligible for these scholarships. All applicants are considered for a Koopmans Scholarship when they have submitted their completed applications by February 1 (students do not need to apply for this scholarship separately).

CentER Scholarship

A CentER scholarship of €10,800 per year is available for excellent students . Scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit and always include a partial tuition waiver for non-EEA students. Students joining the program in the first or second year of the Research Master are eligible for these scholarships. All applicants are considered for a CentER Scholarship when they have submitted their completed applications by February 1 (students do not need to apply for this scholarship separately).

Grantfinder

International students, who are looking for sources of funding for their studies in the Netherlands, should also consider looking at the Grantfinder site. This site is easy to use. After logging on just enter a few search criteria, such as your home country and your intended field of study, and then select the scholarships that you are interested in.

Ministry of Education, Culture and Science

If you are in full-time higher education in the Netherlands, EU/EEA students may be eligible for a student grant. In some cases you may be eligible for (full) funding for your studies (in Dutch: studiefinanciering) if you comply with one of the following conditions:

  • you have the nationality of one of the countries of the European Union and you work in the Netherlands for at least 32 hours per month (at least 56 hours from 1 January 2014 on)
  • you have the nationality of one of the countries in the European Union and you have been resident in the Netherlands for a minimum of 5 years without a significant break
  • you have the nationality of one of the countries of the European Union and one of your non-Dutch parents or your husband/wife, registered partner has the nationality of an EU country and works in the Netherlands
