FIDERH Scholarship

Tilburg University has an agreement with Banco de Mexico acting as a Trustee for the Mexican Federal Government at the Trust named 'Fund for Human Resource Development' (FIDERH) to provide a joint graduate Loan Tuition Fee Support Program scholarship.

FIDERH is a Federal Trust managed by the Central Bank of Mexico, which for over 40 years has been supporting graduate studies. It is one of the Public Research Centers of CONACYT and its mission is to offer affordable loans to Mexican students to finance their graduate studies, either in Mexico or abroad.

Who can apply

Mexican citizens, with a Bachelor´s degree, who have an unconditional offer for a Master's or PhD program at Tilburg University.  It is also possible to apply for this loan AFTER your study program has already started.

Scholarship amount

The FIDERH financing system consists of a loan of up to 200,000 Mexican Pesos (each year) for a Master's program of between 9 and 24 months. For a PhD program this is a between 9 and 38 months. For Master's programs Tilburg University offers a 25% discount on tuitions above €10,000. For PhD students Tilburg University waives all tuition fees. Candidates need to pay their own visa expenses.

How to apply

Students in Mexico must first be admitted to Tilburg University (or have started their program of study) and then they can submit a Loan-Tuition Fee Support application to FIDERH directly.
