Research Master Scholarship

At Tilburg University, we highly value our Research Master's programs. These programs serve as an important initial stride toward a rewarding research career, potentially leading to a PhD position within Tilburg University or elsewhere. Beyond academia, graduates of our Research Master's programs often find themselves excelling in research-intensive organizations. To stimulate students to pursue our Research Master's programs, Tilburg University provides an attractive waiver.

Outstanding students admitted to any of Tilburg University's Research Master's programs are eligible for the Research Masters Scholarship. This partial tuition fee waiver covers the entire two-year duration of the Research Master.

September 2024 intake

For the September 2024 intake, non-EEA students admitted to the Research Masters in Economics, Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Individual Differences and Assessment are automatically considered for the Research Master Scholarship.

For the Research Masters in Linguistics and Communication Sciences, a limited number of scholarships are available for exceptional students falling under the following categories:

  1. Outstanding non-EEA students who are pursuing their first master's degree in the Netherlands
  2. Exceptional students with a previous master's degree from the Netherlands, including Dutch, EEA, and non-EEA citizens.

Due to the limited number of waivers available for this program, students must apply for the waiver and undergo a selection procedure. For more detailed information on how to apply for the waiver, criteria, and selection, please visit the program webpage.
