Premaster's Program


Premaster's program hbo graduates

All hbo-BE or hbo-AC graduates have the opportunity to follow a premaster program before joining the Master's in Accounting. The premaster program refreshes existing knowledge and strengthens your capacity for conceptual thinking, ensuring you get the most out of your Tilburg University Master's in Accounting degree.

Admission requirements

To be eligible for the Premaster's program you must have completed an hbo program in either:

  • Bedrijfseconomie
    • or
  • Accountancy

The Master's in Accounting program is entirely taught in English. You must demonstrate sufficient knowledge of the English language in order to be eligible for the Premaster's program by submitting results from one of the following:

  • A TOEFL score with a minimum of 575 (paper-based) or 233 (computer-based) or 90-91 (internet-based).
  • An academic IELTS score with a minimum score of 6.5 overall and a minimum score of 6.0 on individual parts of the test.
  • A passed Cambridge Proficiency test.
  • A vwo-diploma with a pass for English.
  • An hbo-diploma of which the last three years were taught entirely in English

Program

Most courses in the Premaster's program are taught in Dutch. Some courses are compulsory for admission to the Accountancy track in the Master's in Accounting program.

Premaster university graduates

Tilburg University offers a program designed especially for students with a university Tilburg University offers a program for students with a university Bachelor's degree that does not meet the entry requirements of the Master's in Accounting program.

The Premaster's program for Bachelor graduates is designed to fill knowledge gaps and provide you with the essential foundation needed to pursue your Master's in Accounting, and is tailor-made to individual learning needs. The program consists of up to 60 credits (ECT) depending on your educational background. Should you require more than 60 ECTS, we recommend you follow the Bachelor's in Economics before applying to the Master's in Accounting program.
