International students
This Premaster’s program is a one-year program of study (60 ECTS) aimed at improving your knowledge and skill level within the field of Human Resource Studies. Courses followed include specific areas within the field, as well as courses in statistics and research methodology. In general:
- 30 ECTS will be earned in courses specifically related to human resource studies (including academic skills)
- 18 ECTS will be earned in statistics and research methodology courses
- 12 ECTS will be earned in research lab courses
Applicants will be accepted onto the Premaster program if either the level of their previous academic program does not meet the required level to enter the Master program directly (for example, a Bachelor’s degree from a University of Applied Science or equivalent), or if the academic content of the previous academic program does not match the requirements for direct entry into the Master program.
On successful completion of this program (60 ECTS), you will automatically be accepted onto the Master program Human Resource Studies for the following academic year.
International applicants will be informed in the acceptance letter as to whether you have been accepted onto the Premaster or Master program.
Program structure
The program consists of 60 credits (ECTS), equivalent to 1,680 hours of study, divided into four units from 1 September 2012 to 31 August 2013.Dutch and international students follow slightly different courses within the Premaster program. Courses mentioned above which are specifically for Dutch students will be taught in Dutch, including the statistics and employment law courses. However, all other courses for the Premaster’s and Master’s will be taught in English.
Teaching will consist of lectures, tutorials and practicals. Each course will finish with either an exam or a written paper.

De premaster is bedoeld voor afgestudeerde studenten van relevante HBO-opleidingen, die willen instromen in de aansluitende master.Inhoud premaster
De premaster bevat specifieke vakken op het gebied van Human Resource Management en vakken op het gebied van methoden en technieken van onderzoek. De premaster is deels Engelstalig. De aansluitende master Human Resource Studies is geheel Engelstalig.Het onderwijs bestaat uit hoor-, werk- en practicumcolleges. Elk vak wordt afgesloten met een tentamen of een werkstuk. Het premaster programma omvat 60 studiepunten (1 studiepunt = 28 uur in EC-norm), die als volgt zijn verdeeld:
- 30 ECTS opleidingsspecifiek onderwijs (inclusief academische vaardigheden)
- 18 ECTS onderwijs in Methoden en Technieken van Onderzoek (MTO)
- 12 ECTS onderzoekspracticum

Premasterstudenten moeten aan een aantal toelatingseisen voldoen voordat ze met de aansluitende master kunnen beginnen. Deze eisen zijn als volgt:
- Je moet het gehele premaster programma hebben afgerond alvorens je mag beginnen aan de master.
- Je moet geslaagd zijn voor of vrijgesteld zijn van de wiskundetoets.
