Research Master in Theology
In recent years, it has become increasingly clear that religion is a very important factor in the interplay between people and the development of humanity in general, both individually as well as socially. A thorough study of religion, taking into account, all its specific manifestations and practices, qualities and dimensions, is of paramount importance to our present-day society.
The Research Master's program offers variety and excellence in all areas of religious studies and theology, with an emphasis not only on Christian and Jewish traditions but also on other, non-western religious traditions, those of Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism in particular, and non-institutional forms of religiosity and spirituality. Thanks to close cooperation with Tilburg School of Catholic Theology and specialized centres of research, such as the Institute for Liturgical and Ritual Studies, the National Liturgy Studies Research Program, the Centre for Intercultural Ethics, Babylon Centre for Studies of the Multicultural Society, the centre for Patristic Research, and the Thomas Institute, the program offers expertise in an impressive range of different areas of theological and religious studies.
