Expertise

After studying Recreation Sciences and Sociology of Recreation and Tourism at Wageningen University, Bertine Bargeman wrote a PhD thesis on tourist choice behaviour at the Department of Leisure Studies in Tilburg, where she now works as senior lecturer and education director. In these roles she co-ordinates the (pre)master Leisure Studies and teaches subjects such as consumer (choice) behaviour, taste patterns and leisure practice approaches. Furthermore she teaches at NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences (Academy for Leisure).

From 2006-2009 she combined her work at the Department with a post doc position at Telos, the Brabant Centre for Sustainable Development in Tilburg.
