Expertise

I am an Associate Professor of Finance at Tilburg University. I am also research fellow of the European Banking Center and CentER. My research interests cover Banking and Corporate Finance theory. In particular financial fragility, liquidity, Central Bank interventions. I am also interested in technological progress and competition. My research has been published in the Journal of Finance; Journal of Financial Intermediation; Journal of Money, Credit and Banking; Journal of Banking and Finance; and Macroeconomic Dynamics.

I obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from Universidad Carlos III of Madrid in 2004. Before joining Tilburg University as an Assistant Professor in 2006, I have been CREA Research Fellow at the Universitat Autónoma of Barcelona.
