Participating in experiments at CentERlab
What does it mean to participate in an experiment?
- As a participant of an experiment, you are given a (usually rather simple) decision task (e.g. "choose an action A, B, or C", "set a price for a good" etc.). All the information that you need to perform the task is provided on the spot at the experiment.
- Because you are participating in an experiment, your decisions have "real" economic consequences, that means that you will actually earn money! How much money you will earn, however, can depend on how successful your decisions are (successful decisions can give you substantial earnings, while other decisions may lead to rather small earnings), or on the duration of the experiment.
- Your decisions will be processed anonymously.
- The results of the experiments will be used for scientific studies and reports.
