Roel Mehlkopf
Ph.D. Candidate in Finance
Roel Mehlkopf is a specialist in the field of pensions and retirement. His research is concerned with risk sharing in pension funds, life-cycle investment strategies and retirement decision making. In september 2010, Roel joined CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis, the Dutch public think tank for economic policy research. Previously, he was a Ph.D student at Tilburg University and a visiting scholar at the University of Pennsylvania. Roel's Ph.D. thesis on intergenerational risk sharing is expected to appear in October. Roel is also a research fellow at Netspar, the network for pensions, ageing and retirement. He also teaches at Tilburg University in the Master program Economics and Finance of Ageing. He has acted as a referee for various academic journals, including the Journal of Public Economics, the Journal of Pension Economics and Finance and International Finance
