August 2002: Grant from the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) for a one-month visit by dr. Inci Batmaz (Middle East Technical University, Ankara) to work on 'Design of experiments with simulation models analyzed through kriging'.
December 1999 and 1998: Traveling grants from the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) for attending the Winter Simulation Conferences in Phoenix and Washington, D.C.
