Reimbursement of travel expenses
There are three types of visitor to CentER:

• Seminar speaker - (stay of no longer than 3 days)
• Visitor - (stay of minimum 3 days, maximum 2 months)
• Visiting fellow - (stay of more than 2 months)

Reimbursement is possible by one of the following methods:

• By cheque
• Into a designated bank account

Seminar speakers (excluding speakers from other Dutch universities*) are entitled to reimbursement of accomodation and travel expenses (APEX fare or equivalent). The amount is left up to the discretion of the hosting research group.

Visitors are entitled to reimbursement of accommodation and travel expenses (APEX fare or equivalent). In addition, they are entitled to a per diem to cover expenses. The amount is left up to the discretion of the hosting group.

Visiting fellows are entitled to a salary (which is negotiable), along with reimbursement of travel expenses (APEX fare or equivalent).

PLEASE NOTE The above applies only to the visitor or visiting fellow personally. If the visitor or visiting fellow is accompanied by family members, then their accommodation, travel expenses and meals must be paid by the visitor or visiting fellow.

* Under Dutch university rules, Seminar speakers and visitors from universities within the Netherlands are not entitled to the above per diem or reimbursement of travel/accommodation costs.
