Visiting scholars

CoRPS encourages qualified applicants with interests in psychosomatic medicine, mental health and the mind body relationship to come to Tilburg as Visiting Research Fellows or Scholars. These visitors, working as they do within the Institute's premises, receive constant stimulus from the Institute's own staff. So far we have had Visiting Research Fellows from many different countries, including Australia, Denmark, Germany, Iceland, Sweden, and the United States.

The Institute is not in a position to provide financial assistance to Visiting Fellows or Scholars. Visiting Fellows and Scholars pay a bench fee to assist in covering the costs of provision of facilities at the Institute, including computer and other IT facilities, access to the library (Tilburg University Library), and desk space. If extensive additional (i.e., computer or secretarial) support is required, this may be subject to an additional charge. A brief budget plan with expected expenditures will be requested. All visitors must be able to assure the Institute that they have the means to support themselves for the duration of their stay (e.g. proof of scholarschip/copies of labour agreement/bank statement/payslip).

Applications can be made at any time, but at least 4 months prior to the date of intended arrival. Because office space is limited, early application is advised. The Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences will assist with applying for visa and/or resident permits. Please be aware that this application procedure itself may take up to 3 months.
