Education and Research Institute

The Education and Research Institute (ERI) developed out of a merger between the former Educational Institute (Onderwijsinstituut OWI) and the Oldendorff Research Institute (ORI).

The research section of ERI fosters the fundamental research in the Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences. By providing its research staff and visiting researchers with a congenial research environment and excellent opportunities, it promotes innovative and high-quality multi-disciplinary, multi-level and international research. Researchers from different fields, such as psychology, sociology, organizational sciences and methodology, are accommodated in a professional way. Over 100 researchers, varying from full professor to postdoctoral fellow, are linked to ERI.

The Education and Research Institute includes a Graduate School. Within the Graduate School a Master's program in Research is offered for talented young students who wish to specialize for a career in academic research. The Graduate School accommodates about 100 PhD students.
