Graduate school
The Graduate School offers facilities for students who want to specialize in fundamental scientific research. There are three types of students and employees that are supported by the Graduate School.First of all, the Graduate School offers a Master's program in Research. This program is intended for the best bachelor students in the Social and Behavioral Sciences. The very intensive two year program enables students to qualify for a PhD position or for a research career outside the university. Only 30 students per year can be admitted to this high quality program.
Within the Graduate School, a number of PhD students are doing research and write a thesis in order to obtain a doctorate. These projects last for three or four years, depending on the experience and background of the candidate. PhD students are regular employees and receive a salary. At the moment over 100 PhD students are employed by the Graduate School.
Finally, the Graduate School offers also facilities for people who want to do research for a doctorate thesis without becoming an employee. If you are interested in such a research track, contact one of the professors who is specialized in your field of interest.
