Graduate School for Humanities

We provide an environment in which MA/Research students, PhD students and researchers can easily meet, work, and learn together.

Registered PhD students

Within the Graduate School several facilities are provided to support PhD-students, that is:

  • measures taken by the Graduate School to encourage PhD students to finish their PhD within the available time (see supervision, PhD training, facilities). These measures follow from the Graduate School's PhD policy;
  • providing clear procedures and help in the process of preparation for the defense of the PhD thesis.

In order to be registered with the Graduate School for Humanities PhD students are requested to apply for the appointment of a PhD supervisor, through submission of the appropriate English form PDF or Dutch form PDF. A hard copy of this form is also available with the Graduate School Office, Dante Building room D309.

PhD students are also requested to draw up a Training and Supervision Plan (TSP) Word document in cooperation with their thesis supervisor(s).
