I will focus on metaphor use in financial communication and why this may be nonneutral in terms of gender, influencing financial attitudes and behavior of men and women in different directions.

About Henriette Prast

Henriette Prast holds a PhD in economics from the University of Amsterdam. She is currently full professor at the Finance Department, TiSEM, Tilburg University, and member of the Dutch Senate. Previously she was a researcher at the Dutch central bank and member of the Scientific Council for government policy. Henriettes current research interests are behavioral economics, gender and financial decision making, and the influence of metaphors in financial language on financial attitudes and behavior, with a focus on gender.
