TiCC Colloquium: Mark Steedman

What: A Theory of Content for Natural Language Processing
Where: PZ 046
When: Friday, 15 January 2016, 15:00 - 16:00 hours

Mark Steedman from the University of Edinburgh is in town, and we managed to convince him to give an informal talk tomorrow at 3:00PM.

Mark is an extremely accomplished computational linguist and cognitive scientist (with his own Wikipedia page).

He is perhaps best known for developing the formalism of Combinatory Categorial Grammar and for applying it to Natural Language Processing problems.

Tomorrow he will talk about 'A Theory of Content for Natural Language Processing'.
