PowerPoint presentation

PowerPoint is installed on the lecturer PC. Please see the webpage on lecture room facilities for information on the version and the resolution of the projector. We have the following practical information for you.

  • Please do not use a dark background colour, as this forces us to put out the lights in the lecture room and close the blinds, which is not appreciated by participants. They might even fall asleep! ;-)
  • If you use a more recent version of PowerPoint than we do (Powerpoint 2007), please save your presentation in the version we use. Older versions are no problem.
  • If you provide us with your slides in time, we will make sure that:
    • they are tested;
    • they are available on the lecturer PC the moment you need them; and
    • they are printed and multiplied, so that we can hand them out before your lecture starts or afterward, whatever you want.

Deadline

We have the following deadline for slides.

Sending your slides

Preferred option:

  • You can upload the PPT file on SlideShare and send us the URL of the presentation. This is our preferred option, since it also makes your slides available for participants in digital form.
If this is not possible:
  • You can send us the PPT file by e-mail (maximum 10 MB).
  • You can upload the PPT file on your own web server and mail us the URL.
  • You can bring the PPT file with you on a memory stick or cd. In this case we cannot guarantee that your slide show works correctly and that the hand-outs are printed and multiplied before your lecture starts.

Digital slides freely available

We want a digital version of your slides to become freely available on the web (in PPT or PDF format). You can do this yourself, via SlideShare (preferred option!). Ticer can also make the slides available via Ticer's website, provided that the files are not too big. You have to take care of a correct copyright notice on every slide or hand-outs page yourself. In the lecturer questionnaire we will ask you for further information or your permission.
