TILEC supports and stimulates research activities within its Market Governance program. It fosters academically pathbreaking and practically relevant research and aims to be a leading center worldwide.

Three kinds of researchers are affiliated with TILEC.

  • Researchers who are already affiliated with Tilburg University (as full-time students or employees) can become TILEC members;
  • Researchers who are primarily affiliated with other institutions but want to be involved in our research activities can become TILEC extramural fellows;
  • PhD students who are not employed by the university and work on their doctorate in their free time can become TILEC external PhD students
