Bio

Hallo, my name is Aletta Simons and I am working as a science practitioner at the Scientific center for care and wellbeing of Tranzo, Tilburg University. I am doing research on relational trauma after the disclosure of sibling sexual abuse and how family therapy can help in processing the relational trauma.

Recently I finished a sub study on family therapist' experiences of online therapy for families with a prior disclosure of sibling sexual abuse during Covid-19 pandemic lockdowns.

In this research I am working together with the family therapists of the CLASteam of de Rading, a specialized youth welfare organization. The CLASteam provides family therapy to families in which sexual abuse has taken place and the therapists have expertise in treating families with sexual brother sister abuse.
