Else Treffers MSc

Bio

I am Else Treffers, scientist-practitioner at Tilburg University - Tranzo (Technological and Social Innovation for Mental Health). Between 2022 and 2028, I will research the possibilities of using light and lifestyle therapy as a preventive measure for adverse outcomes in severe mental illnesses (SMI) as a PhD candidate. My clinical work is based at GGzE (Eindhoven), where I am currently working as a psychologist in training to be a GZ-psychologist. I combine research and clinical practice within the Rino Topklas traject, which entails the education for healthcare psychologist (GZ-opleiding) followed by the specialization to clinical (neuro)psychologist.

I finished my BSc in Psychology and MSc in Medical Psychology both at Tilburg University, and published my thesis on the validation of a measurement for social inhibition in the hospital population in 2021). Next to this, I work closely with the national psychology association NIP, as an active member and member of the member council.
