Excellence Scholarship
What is it?
The scholarship is a grant of € 2500 plus max. euro; 5000 in case of a Master's program abroad (depends on the fee abroad).
As of the academic year 2014-2015 the maximum grant is € 5000 (a grant of € 2500 and max. € 2500 for the tuition fee).
The scholarship must be used for a Master's program outside the Netherlands or a Research Master's program at Tilburg University. At least 45 ects of this program must be obtained.
For whom (not)?
Excellent students with a bachelor degree of Tilburg University, can apply for an 'Excellence Scholarship'.
Please note: this scholarship is ONLY available for fulltime students with a bachelor degree from Tilburg University!
Students of the Tilburg School of Economics and Management who are awarded the Van Lanschot Scholarship or the Van Lanschot prize, are disqualified, as well as part time students.
Conditions
The main condition for this scholarship is to have obtained a complete bachelor's program (without exemptions) within three years* with an average result of exactly 8 (out of 10) over 180 compulsory credits. Exemptions based on passed subjects before this bachelor's program need to be compensated.
* Acknowledged study delay or a delay because of an active membership of the management of a student organisation or management participation will be taken into account.The average of 8 means a sound 8, marks are not being round off. To calculate your average, marks of subjects without ects doesn't count, as well as subjects without a mark. If you have more than 180 ects, the compulsory credits count and you may choose the highest marks of the optional courses. You are allowed to do resits in order to improve your grades, as long as the final results are known at August 31.

Application procedure
Students who meet the conditions during their studies, can report themselves in their second or third year to the Dean of Students, but at the latest in April of their third year.
Students who have reported themselves, will receive an applicationform.
The scholarship just be used after the bachelor's program, but may also be postponed for one year.
