Build your CV

Obviously your student days are primarily about studying. However, there is more than that. Much more actually, and all these things contribute to your development and your preparation for the labor market. Employers and recruiters are attaching increasing importance to extracurricular activities. Therefore it is important that you also take part in other activities in addition to your study program. Examples include:

  • Taking additional courses
  • Applying knowledge in practice
  • Serving on a student board
  • Attending (or actively taking part in) symposia and debates
  • Promoting student participation

Your CV will not stand out if you did not undertake any extracurricular activities. Therefore you should start building up a good CV during your student days. The most useful strategy is to gear your extracurricular activities to the job you are envisaging after your graduation.
