Educational facilities
There are a number of facilities available should mental or physical health problems threaten to jeopardize your study. These special educational facilities consist primarily of flexible examination times, oral examinations instead of written ones, alternative assignments or more flexible timetables.

Examinations
Students requiring special examination arrangements (e.g. a laptop, more time to complete the exam, enlargements of exam questions and notes), must submit a request in advance.
The following procedure applies:
- Write a letter to the Examining Board requesting specific examination arrangements (e.g. 'extended examination time'). If you are unsure as to how to word your request, you may ask your academic advisor for help. Be sure to enclose some form of written evidence of your condition, such as a medical certificate.
- You will be sent a written reply by the Examining Board informing you of the practical arrangements for sitting examinations under special circumstances.
- You should then register for the written examinations following the customary procedure.
- Student Administration will send you notification of your written exams to your university e-mail address at least one week prior to the month in which the examination period begins.
- As soon as you have received this notification, which will include a list of your exams, the room numbers and times, you must forward a complete copy of it to tentamenorganisatie@uvt.nl, requesting that one or more of these exams be sat under the provisions for mitigating circumstances.
Please note:
Your request must be submitted at least two working days before the start of the month in which these exams are due to be held. Due to strict deadlines for examination timetabling, the Examining Board cannot consider any requests submitted after this date. If you decide afterwards not to make use of this special examination provision, please send a message to tentamenorganisatie@uvt.nl so that we can inform the invigilator of the cancellation. - Student Administration will then send you an e-mail containing the new room number and time for the exam in question.
