Especially for first-year students we have created these pages, as an introduction to the whole site so that you will easily be able to find the answers to the most important questions you might have.

Introduction Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences

The Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences organizes two introduction days:

On Monday, August 20

Between 9am and 2pm

For the following programs:

  • Premaster and Master Communication and Information Sciences (CIS)
  • Bachelor Liberal Arts and Sciences
  • Bachelor Communicatie en Informatiewetenschappen
  • Bachelor Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence
  • Bachelor Online Culture
  • Bachelor Filosofie

On Monday, August 27

Between 9am and 12:30pm

For the following programs:

  • Premaster and Master Online Culture
  • Premaster en Master Jeugdliteratuur
  • Premaster and Master Management of Cultural Diversity
  • Premaster en Master Filosofie: Ethiek van Bedrijf en Organisatie
  • Premaster and Master Philosophy: Philosophy of Contemporary Challenges
  • Premaster and Master Philosophy: Philosophy of Humanity and Culture

You will receive an invitation to the Introduction Day after your registration in Studielink.


During the introduction day you will receive valuable information on your new study. You will meet some of your lecturers, different staff members and get acquainted with the IT-facilities from Tilburg University. You will be taken on a tour around the campus and will be provided with loads of practical information. You will also have the opportunity to meet your fellow classmates as well as obtain advice from upperclassmen.

Obligation and Absence

Because it is important that all students start their study with the same level of preparation, the participation to the introduction day program is compulsory. If you cannot attend the introduction day program due to special circumstances please send an email to the Education Support Team ( mentioning the reason of your absence.


The introduction day is free for all participants.
