Mikki Roberts and her junior field hockey teammates look back on World Cup victory
11th January 2024On Monday, December 11, 2023, the Netherlands won the Junior Women’s Field Hockey World Cup by beating Argentina. One of the players on the winning team is Mikki Roberts. Goed Zoet Received €5000 at the GEW Dragons' Den!
22nd November 2022On Friday November 18 the winners from the Tilburg University Challenge, Goed Zoet, got to pitch their idea again. This time for the Dragons of the Dragons' Den, which was part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2022.

Veerle Schoondermark is the winner of the prof J.J.J. van Dijck Best Master thesis Organization Studies 2022 prize and is the best master student Organization Studies (cum laude)
17th November 2022She won this prize at the Autumn Organization Studies Graduation 2022 for her thesis with the title “Exploring Mechanisms between Managerial Adaptive Responses and Occupational Wellbeing: A Case Study in Underperforming Dutch Construction Projects” (1st supervisor: Leon Oerlemans).

PhD and Master’s thesis prizes presented: Erik-Jan Broers Teacher of the Year
15th November 2022The Tilburg University Executive Board annually awards prizes for the best Master’s, Research Master’s, and PhD theses. Renée van Erp wrote the best Master’s thesis, Lennart Sinjorgo won the Research Master’s thesis prize, and Jan de Wit won first prize with his PhD thesis. In addition, the 2022 Teacher of the Year award was presented. It went to Erik-Jan Broers.

Preliminary registrations at Tilburg University: Student numbers stabilize
10th November 2022In the academic year 2022/2023, 19,943 students are registered at Tilburg University. The preliminary registration figures for next year suggest that student numbers seem to stabilize. In the Bachelor’s phase, there will be an additional 408 students, the number of Master’s students will be 150 lower. The most notable drop concerns the pre-Master’s programs: 569 fewer students have registered. In total, the preliminary figures for Tilburg University indicate 311 fewer students compared to the academic year 2021/2022.

08th November 2022Don’t throw away your plastic bottle, but put them in one of the big blue “PETman” bottle banks on campus. You do not only contribute to a better environment: your empty bottle is also a donation to the Tilburg University Fund, supporting education and research at Tilburg University and creating scholarships for students.

Honorary doctorate for Mariëtte Hamer at 95th Dies natalis
10th October 2022Tilburg University’s Dies natalis will be celebrated on Thursday, November 17, at 16:00 hrs. This year is special: the university celebrates its 95th anniversary. During the Dies celebration, an honorary doctorate will be presented to Mariëtte Iris Hamer, Government Commissioner on Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence, and former president of the Dutch Social and Economic Council (SER), by honorary supervisor Professor Ton Wilthagen for her contribution to social-economic policy.
