Koen Lavrijssen wins Best Entrepreneurial Student Initiative (BESI)

Koen Lavrijssen is the winner of the annual BESI Award for Best Entrepreneurial Student Initiative that was presented for the second time on September 4, 2017, during the Opening of the Academic Year. The BESI Award is a Tilburg prize for students who contribute to solving a social issue.

Lavrijssen won the prize (1000 euro) for Mr. Winston: a new, user-friendly till system for the restaurant and café industry that provides more overview for waiting staff and chefs.

Nominated was also Sander Berendsen met SB Supply: a web shop with exclusive products that can be connected to mobile devices. 

And finally Plennid by Kees van Rengs: Plennid is a community for sustainable entrepreneurs in the city of Rotterdam. The BESI Award was presented by alumnus Harmen van Heist of Rural Spark.

The winner was chosen by the audience.
